Basketball Preview: McKeel Academy Wildcats vs. Tenoroc Titans
McKeel Academy is 10-0 against the Titans since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The McKeel Academy Wildcats will take on the Tenoroc Titans at TBD. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
McKeel Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Lake Gibson by a score of 68-65.
McKeel Academy's loss came about despite a quality game from Alex Sessoms, who scored 32 points along with six assists and three steals. Sessoms is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Jackson Jonsson, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Tenoroc scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Hardee on the road to the tune of 56-22. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Tenoroc as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
McKeel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Tenoroc, their victory ended a 11-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-18.
Everything came up roses for McKeel Academy against the Titans in their previous matchup last Friday as the team secured a 58-24 victory. Will McKeel Academy repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
