Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northside). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Kashmere Fighting Rams a 21-0 shutout on Saturday. The win was just business as usual for the Panthers, who after eight games remain undefeated this season.

Coco Hernandez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Northside let Jesus Delosreyes and Adan Gallegos run wild. Delosreyes scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2, while Gallegos went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Cesar Carrillo also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Northside was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .444 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Northside's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.0 runs on average over those games. As for Kashmere, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Northside will head out on the road to take on Furr at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Kashmere, they will head out to face off against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
