Volleyball Recap: Steele Canyon Takes a Loss

Steele Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the San Diego Academy Cavaliers. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cavaliers earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Steele Canyon started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 28-26, 27-25.

Steele Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for San Diego Academy, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

After both having extra time off, Steele Canyon and Mount Miguel will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on the 22nd. The Cougars are facing the Matadors at the right time seeing as the Matadors are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for San Diego Academy, they have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bonsall on the 8th.
