Basketball Recap: Pierce City Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Pierce City came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 victory over the Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers on Saturday. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cavaliers, too.

Despite the loss, Jefferson Independent Day saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jack Twiss posted 23 points. Twiss has been hot, having posted 17 or more points the last five times he's played.
