Basketball Preview: Tillamook Cheesemakers vs. Scappoose Indians
Tillamook has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Scappoose Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Tillamook will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Indians are ranked 95th).
Last Saturday, Tillamook ended up a good deal behind the Indians and lost 65-46. That's two games in a row now that Tillamook has lost by exactly 19 points.
Tillamook dropped their record down to 2-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Scappoose, they now have a winning record of 9-8.
Things could have been worse for Tillamook, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-46 loss to the Indians in their previous matchup on Saturday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Scappoose's Elijah Greenan biggs, who scored 19 points along with five assists and two steals. Now that Tillamook knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
