Basketball Recap: Marysville Comes Up Short

Marysville suffered their closest loss since January 11, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wamego Red Raiders by a score of 36-34. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-30 back in January.

Marysville has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. The win was the sixth in a row for Wamego, bringing their record for this year to 13-5.

Marysville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-30 victory against Abilene on the 21st. As for Wamego, they have also already played their next game, a 57-25 win against Chapman on the 21st.
