Softball Recap: Vance Charter Knights vs. Oxford Prep Griffins

There's no place like home for Vance Charter, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Oxford Prep Griffins by a score of 7-2 on Thursday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Griffins recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Leah Rice was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
