Baseball Game Preview: Braden River Pirates vs. Out-of-Door Academy Thunder

The Braden River Pirates will square off against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Braden River is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Neumann on Friday. They fell just short of the Celtics by a score of 3-2.

Sam Heintz was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Jackson Williams also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Out-of-Door Academy waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the King's.

Out-of-Door Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Braden River, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Everything went Braden River's way against Out-of-Door Academy when the teams last played back in March, as Braden River made off with a 10-1 victory. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Thunder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
