Basketball Recap: Kysa Loecker Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Plainview

After losing to Plainview the last time they met, Bloomfield decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bloomfield Bees walked away with a 51-38 win over the Plainview Pirates on Friday.

Bloomfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kysa Loecker out in front who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Peyton Eisenhauer, who put up ten points.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kenzie Doerr, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave Doerr a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Miller, who earned six points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Bloomfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Plainview, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Bloomfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-9 win against Randolph on the 21st. Plainview has also already played their next contest, a 57-17 loss against West Holt on the 21st.
