Soccer Game Preview: LBJ Austin vs. Travis

The LBJ Austin Jaguars will head out to square off against the Travis Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. LBJ Austin's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

LBJ Austin fell victim to Burnet and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, LBJ Austin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 729th, while Burnet are ranked 275th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Travis was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of Burnet by a score of 1-0. Travis haven't had much luck with Burnet recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

LBJ Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Travis, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.

LBJ Austin suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Travis in their previous matchup on February 9th. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
