Eads and Cheyenne Wells pushed the score to 12-8 the last time they played Cheyenne Wells, but on Tuesday defenses reigned supreme. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 4-0 shutout. The Eagles' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Karsten Buller was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Johnathan Vasquez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Eads' victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Cheyenne Wells, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Eads beat the Tigers by a score of 19-4 later that day.
