Baseball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Silverdale Academy

Silverdale Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Notre Dame on Monday. The Seahawks were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Fighting Irish. The Seahawks not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 18th.

Cannon Rogers looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Jonah Winton was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Hasty, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Silverdale Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Notre Dame, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Silverdale Academy will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Fighting Irish: the pair will be back at it again later today.
