The Monache Marauders will face off against the Mt. Whitney Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monache is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Monache took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They came out on top against Redwood by a score of 5-1.

Tyson Harrington looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lewis Green was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Mt. Whitney didn't have quite enough to beat Washington Union on Friday and fell 6-5. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mt. Whitney saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matteo Zuniga, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Genero Villareal, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Monache's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-4. As for Mt. Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.
