Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A Metro - Mountain this week, Bishop Blanchet beat Chief Sealth 70-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Bishop Blanchet made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,644 from 2,040. The improvement was the result of a 70-0 victory over the Seahawks last week.
Eastside Catholic's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Harley Kirsch threw for 207 and 3 touchdowns and Colin MacIlvennie had 107 yards receiving. On the ground Henry Jarvis contributed 190 yards. Benjamin Angelo helped Eastside Catholic's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 32 yards.
He was 12-19 with 0 interception.
Kirsch put up the best numbers in passing as the Crusaders bested Bainbridge. Kirsch's favorite target this week was MacIlvennie, who caught 4 passes for 107 yards.
Eastside Catholic's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Crusaders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kirsch has thrown for 814 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Devon Arbis-Jackson has 20 catches for 327 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Aaron Maul's team takes on the Spartans. As it stands, the Braves are in second, while Bainbridge is in fifth.
