Basketball Recap: East Noble Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

East Noble won the last time they faced Prairie Heights and things went their way on Thursday too. The East Noble Knights took down the Prairie Heights Panthers 54-35. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 95th, while the Panthers are ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Noble found their leader in sophomore Elli Will, who went 6 for 10 en route to 13 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Makenna Strohm was another key player, putting up eight points along with five rebounds and five steals.

East Noble was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prairie Heights only racked up eight assists.

Despite the loss, Prairie Heights still got an impressive performance from Maddison Certain, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave Certain a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily McCrea, who earned ten points and seven boards.

East Noble's record is now 11-8. As for Prairie Heights, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

East Noble has already played their next game, a 46-42 win against Leo on the 24th. As for Prairie Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-22 defeat against Fremont on the 25th.
