Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Broomfield). They put the hurt on the Grant Union Prospectors with a sharp 11-3 win on Thursday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

James Varela and Josh Bishop dominated on the mound. Varela pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Bishop pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. That's the fewest hits Bishop has allowed since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Garet Vail, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Corbin Frost, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
