Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Middle Township). They blew past the Millville Thunderbolts 71-22 on Thursday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Thunderbolts are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Reagen Powell was her usual excellent self, going 10-for-14 en route to 28 points. The matchup was her fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Mckenzie Palek was another key player, putting up ten points along with five rebounds and three blocks.

Middle Township was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.

Middle Township is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points over those games. As for Millville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Middle Township has already played their next contest, a 48-31 win against Ocean City on the 15th. Millville has also already played their next match (against Camden County Vo-Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
