Softball Recap: Bridgeland Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Bridgeland and Klein Oak squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Bridgeland had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-5. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Rylie Marquart made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Avery Trapp, who earned two RBI and one run.

Bridgeland's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Klein Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

While Bridgeland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
