Recap: Santa Fe Trail Chargers vs. Royal Valley Panthers
Even though The Royal Valley Panthers scored an imposing 40 points on Friday, the Santa Fe Trail Chargers still came out on top. Santa Fe Trail enjoyed a cozy 56-40 victory over Royal Valley. The win made it back-to-back wins for Santa Fe Trail.
Among those leading the charge was Luke Edwards, who threw for 168 yards and four touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Warthen, who rushed for 141 yards on only 15 carries.
Despite the loss, Royal Valley still got an impressive performance from Jaxson J stevens, who rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Griffin Cumpton, who rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries.
Santa Fe Trail's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Royal Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
Santa Fe Trail will square off against Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hayden will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Royal Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
