Baseball Recap: Rocktown Takes a Loss

Rocktown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 6-1 to the Broadway Gobblers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gobblers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in April.

Rocktown's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Broadway, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocktown will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Spotswood at 6:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Broadway, they will venture away from home to challenge Harrisonburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Gobblers are facing the Blue Streaks at the right time seeing as the Blue Streaks are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
