Recap: National Trail Blazers vs. Tri-County North Panthers
The National Trail Blazers lost against the Tri-County North Panthers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. National Trail fell just short of Tri-County North by a score of 47-44. National Trail has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tri-County North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bella Cherry, who scored 11 points along with 6 steals. Cherry is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Leinani Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 3 steals.
National Trail now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Tri-County North, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. National Trail will take on Carlisle at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Tri-County North will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Middletown Christian at 12:30 p.m. on December 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Middletown Christian is ranked 313th, while Tri-County North is ranked 317th).
