The Highland Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Hanover Central Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Highland's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Whiting with a sharp 6-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Cash Washick was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Highland: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-5 otherwise. Ryan Murphy also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Hanover Central earned a 5-1 win over Cathedral on Saturday.
Ian Flores looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Landon Sarkey, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Creasbaum, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Highland's record now sits at 3-5. As for Hanover Central, their record is now 8-2.
Highland's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Trojans have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Hanover Central, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Highland continue to outrun the ball?
Highland might still be hurting after the 8-1 loss they got from Hanover Central in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
