Basketball Game Preview: Legacy Lightning vs. Holy Family Tigers

The Legacy Lightning are taking a road trip to square off against the Holy Family Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Holy Family likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Legacy came up short against Broomfield and fell 76-64.

Despite the defeat, Legacy got top-tier performance from Matthew Allshouse, who went 10-for-16 on his way to 24 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance gave Allshouse a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jaedon Ward, who went 6-for-14 en route to 14 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Holy Family, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They strolled past Skyline with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 64-48. The Tigers pushed the score to 47-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons cut but never quite recovered from.

Holy Family pushed their record up to 11-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points over those games. As for Legacy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
