Volleyball Recap: Tioga Bulldogs vs. Whitewright Tigers
Tioga suffered their biggest loss since September 20th on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Whitewright Tigers. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.
While Tioga ultimately came up short, they really made Whitewright work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-16.
Despite the defeat, Tioga saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sadie Bates had three digs and three aces. Bates has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.
Tioga's loss dropped their record down to 15-24-1. As for Whitewright, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 31-11 record this season.
As of now, neither Tioga nor Whitewright have any future games scheduled.
