Soccer Game Preview: Mishawaka vs. Elkhart Christian Academy

The Mishawaka Cavemen will head out to challenge the Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Mishawaka turned things around against Caston on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp 8-1 victory. That looming 8-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mishawaka yet this season.

Meanwhile, South Bend Riley kept up with Elkhart Christian Academy until halftime on Saturday, but afterwards: not so much. The Eagles' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 5-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Elkhart Christian Academy, who have now won five matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Elkhart Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 8-5-1. As for Mishawaka, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.
