Basketball Recap: Mountain Island Charter Comes Up Short

Mountain Island Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Christ the King Crusaders, falling 47-17. The Raptors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-6.

Several Raptors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Genesis Cooke, who posted three points and 11 boards.

Mountain Island Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Christ the King, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Mountain Island Charter will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Pine Lake Prep at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Christ the King, they will be taking part in a tournament against Parkwood at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th.
