Softball Recap: Blackman Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Blackman entered their tilt with LaVergne on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Wolverines. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 two weeks ago.

Khloe Kolb was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Sophia Sullivan was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Blackman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2025.

Blackman's record is now 18-9. As for LaVergne, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Blackman will venture away from home to square off against Coffee County Central at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for LaVergne, they will head out to take on Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
