Softball Recap: Pleasant Home Eagles vs. Samson Tigers
After flying high against Goshen last Thursday, Pleasant Home came back down to earth. The Pleasant Home Eagles' rough 23-8 loss to the Samson Tigers on Monday might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pleasant Home of the 18-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
For Samson's part, Holly Warren was incredible, going 4-for-5 with a home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Sormude, who scored three runs and stole five bases while going 4-for-5.
Pleasant Home's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Samson, they pushed their record up to 10-11 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Home will stay at home for another game and welcome Houston County at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Samson will take on Elba at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
