Berlin lost against Gilford last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mountaineers fell 11-6 to the Golden Eagles. The Mountaineers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Berlin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Gilford, they pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Berlin will challenge Newfound Regional at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gilford, they are taking a road trip to square off against Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.72 runs per game on average), something the Golden Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
