Baseball Recap: Windom Extends Home Winning Streak to Three

Windom won against Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Friday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Eagles walked away with a 12-7 win over the Springfield Tigers. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Windom's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Springfield, they moved to 15-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Windom will host Luverne at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Springfield, they will head out to face off against United South Central at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rebels have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
