Mount St. Mary took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Choctaw Yellowjackets as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Rockets are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 26 straight dating back to last season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-15, 25-16.

Mount St. Mary was led to victory by Cheyenne Denwalt and Brecken Smiley. Denwalt had seven digs and one assist, while Smiley had six digs. Those seven digs gave Denwalt a new career-high.

Mount St. Mary wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Jenks on the 14th. As for Choctaw, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Heritage Hall on the 15th.
