Preview: Golden Gate Titans vs. Dunbar Tigers
Golden Gate has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Dunbar Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunbar took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Golden Gate, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Golden Gate strolled past Immokalee with points to spare, taking the game 35-16.
Among those leading the charge was Chrisna Charlot, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniah Buchanan, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Dunbar, who are still winless after their tenth matchup. They were beaten by Lehigh 52-15 on Friday. Dunbar has not had much luck with Lehigh recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Golden Gate's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Dunbar, they bumped their record down to 0-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Golden Gate beat Dunbar 46-33 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Will Golden Gate repeat their success, or does Dunbar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
