After a string of three wins, Utica's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 3-1 to the Lake Orion Dragons. While losing is never fun, Utica can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 112th, while Lake Orion are ranked 12th).

Utica's loss dropped their record down to 5-2-1. As for Lake Orion, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-0-1.

Utica wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Sterling Heights Stevenson on the 23rd. As for Lake Orion, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 1-1 draw against Royal Oak on the 22nd.
