Paris won the last time they faced North Lamar and things went their way on Wednesday too. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Paris Wildcats who were credited with the victory. The Paris Wildcats got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the North Lamar Panthers' three. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Panthers are ranked 546th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Paris' one-goal win came courtesy of Elizabeth Harper, who's now up to 20 this season.

Paris' win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3-1. As for North Lamar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

We've got a battle between Wildcats coming up. Paris will need to watch out since Sulphur Springs has now posted at least four goals in their last four matches. As for North Lamar, they will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against Mount Vernon at 5:00 p.m.
