Volleyball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Find Success

Ansley/Litchfield posted their closest win since September 23rd on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Loomis Wolves 2-1. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolves, too.

Ansley/Litchfield had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 26-24, 25-11.

Ansley/Litchfield can attribute much of their success to Garittee Smith, who had 12 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Smith has posted over her last five matches.

Ansley/Litchfield's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Loomis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-13.

Looking ahead, Ansley/Litchfield will challenge Pleasanton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. Loomis has already played their next contest (against Bertrand), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
