Zoe Willems leads a balanced attack to beat DeMotte Christian

The Bethany Christian Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 20 points or more this season. They blew past DeMotte Christian 49-29. The victory was familiar territory for Bethany Christian who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bethany Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zoe Willems, who scored 13 points along with nine assists and eight rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Willems has scored at least 25% of Bethany Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah Stoltzfus, who scored 14 points along with four steals.
Bethany Christian's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for DeMotte Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethany Christian will challenge Lakewood Park Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Lakewood Park Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Thursday. DeMotte Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face West Central at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
