Softball Recap: Ben Lomond Comes Up Short

Ben Lomond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Ogden Tigers, falling 18-9. If the Scots were looking for revenge after losing 27-9 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brooklyn Richey led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Ivy Gallegos, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Ben Lomond's record is now 0-3. As for Ogden, their record is now 4-5.

Looking ahead, Ben Lomond will challenge South Summit at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. South Summit has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.82 runs per game on average), something Ben Lomond will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ogden, they will face off against Morgan at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
