Football Game Preview: Valley Falls vs. Maranatha Christian Academy

Maranatha Christian Academy have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will take on Valley Falls at 7:00 PM. Maranatha Christian Academy don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Maranatha Christian Academy didn't have too many spare points in their game with Lebo last Friday, but they still walked away with a 24-20 win. Junior Nate Burdette was the offensive standout of the match for Maranatha Christian Academy, as he picked up 159 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. If you haven't heard Burdette's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in their past seven games.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Valley Falls, and their contest last Friday only extended their streak of losses to seven. They took a serious blow against Chase County, falling 18-68.

Maranatha Christian Academy's victory lifted them to 5-2 while Valley Falls's loss dropped them down to 1-7. Maranatha Christian Academy have been dynamite on the offensive side of the ball, averaging 51.71 points per game. We'll see if Valley Falls can find some way to disarm them.
