Baseball Game Preview: St. Anthony Saints vs. St. Margaret's Tartans

The St. Anthony Saints will square off against the St. Margaret's Tartans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in St. Anthony's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while St. Margaret's has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

St. Anthony will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against St. Bernard on Friday. The Saints came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 17-14.

St. Margaret's had taken Orange down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Tartans lost 7-1 to the Panthers.

St. Anthony is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for St. Margaret's, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
