Basketball Recap: Bulloch Academy Piles Up the Points Against David Emanuel Academy + How To Watch

While Bulloch Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the David Emanuel Academy Eagles 78-28 on Friday. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Akiryon Watkins was his usual excellent self, shooting 64% from the field to rack up 18 points and five steals. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 46.8% field goal percentage. Nolan Eason was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Bulloch Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as David Emanuel Academy only posted three.

Despite the loss, David Emanuel Academy still got an impressive performance from Ethan Fields, who posted 16 points and six rebounds.

The win (which was Bulloch Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points over those games. As for David Emanuel Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bulloch Academy will square off against Stratford Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for David Emanuel Academy, they will take on Edmund Burke Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
