Newman Catholic waltzed into their contest on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Northland Pines Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in August.

Camille Sobolewski paced Newman Catholic's offense, picking up 13 kills. Sobolewski got some help from Lexi Rice and her 14 assists. Madison Keene controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Newman Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 22-16. As for Northland Pines, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 21-13.

Newman Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Edgar on the 18th. As for Northland Pines, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Stockbridge on the 18th.
