Softball Recap: Columbine Rebels vs. Riverdale Ridge Ravens
Columbine and Riverdale Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Columbine had to settle for second. They came up short against the Riverdale Ridge Ravens , falling 18-11. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ravens apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August.
Liv Keiter made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Lovato, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
With the defeat, Columbine broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-7. As for Riverdale Ridge, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 23-4.
Columbine does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Riverdale Ridge has already played their next game, a 9-8 victory against Broomfield on the 26th.
