Football Recap: Ponderosa Skates Past Bear Creek with Ease + How To Watch

Ponderosa had won seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they bumped up to 6-3 to make it eight. They blew past the Bear Creek Bears 40-7. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their six-point performance the matchup before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ponderosa to victory, but perhaps none more so than Noah Anacleto, who threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns. Troy WcWhorter helped Anacleto out on the ground, picking up 68 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 52 yards and one TD.

As for Bear Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-3. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bear Creek's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riley Wilson, who threw for 265 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 46 yards. A healthy portion of Wilson's aerial production (93 yards to be exact) went to Donaven Walker, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Ponderosa is set to square off against their familiar foe Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: WcWhorter and Mo Thenell. Meanwhile, Bear Creek will take on rival Dakota Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
