Baseball Game Preview: Warren County Wildcats vs. Sherando Warriors

Warren County is 0-9 against Sherando since April of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Wildcats will take on the Warriors at 6:00 p.m.

Warren County came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-3 to Meridian. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since March 21st.

Adam Andlinger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 3-for-3. He also scored two runs, which is notable because Warren County is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-9 otherwise. Gavin Dodson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Sherando earned an 8-4 win over Handley on Friday.

Sherando is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Warren County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
