Mainland has been on the road for two straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Palm Beach Lakes Rams at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Mainland scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Tampa Catholic by a score of 86-77.
Mainland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kade Manley led the charge by going 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 1 assists. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Narayan Thomas was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 18 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Palm Beach Lakes narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Suncoast 62-60. The victory was just what Palm Beach Lakes needed coming off of a 77-54 loss in their prior game.
Mainland's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Palm Beach Lakes, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
