Volleyball Recap: Atchison Takes a Loss

Atchison lost against Hiawatha back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Phoenix took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Hawks. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15.

Atchison's loss dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Hiawatha, their victory ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-14.

Atchison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Jefferson County North on the 20th. As for Hiawatha, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] on the 20th.
