Baseball Recap: Ursuline Fighting Irish vs. McKinley Red Dragons
There's no place like home for Ursuline, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the McKinley Red Dragons on Saturday as they made off with a 7-0 victory. The Fighting Irish not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 16-7).
Rowan Urbach made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Anthony Triveri was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Ursuline's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-11 when he doesn't).
