Football Game Preview: Daphne Trojans vs. Davidson Warriors + How To Watch

Daphne is 7-1 against Davidson since August of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Daphne will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Daphne will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Spanish Fort, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Trojans came out on top against the Toros by a score of 28-21 on Friday. The 28-point effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

A big part of Daphne's win came down to the chemistry between Christian Segar and his top target CJ Gardner. Segar threw for 340 yards and five TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes while Gardner picked up 122 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Gardner really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 71 yards. A healthy portion of Segar's aerial production (85 yards to be exact) also went to LaBrayln Williams.

Meanwhile, Davidson took a blow against McGill-Toolen on Friday, falling 42-7. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Daphne's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Davidson, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Daphne took their win against Davidson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 34-13 score. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Warriors' Chris Andrews, who rushed for 170 yards and one score on only 15 carries. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Trojans to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
