Softball Recap: Mohawk's Undefeated Season over After 13 Games

Mohawk suffered their closest loss since May 13, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Buckeye Central Bucks by a score of 4-2. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Aubrey Gottfried put in work while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mohawk fell to 12-1. As for Buckeye Central, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
