Basketball Preview: Goodwin Tech Gladiators vs. Windham RVT Mighty Tigers
The Goodwin Tech Gladiators will be playing at home against the Windham RVT Mighty Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Goodwin Tech beat the Hawks 63-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Goodwin Tech.
Meanwhile, Windham RVT stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They put the hurt on Grasso Tech with a sharp 81-55 win. The win was nothing new for Windham RVT as they're now sitting on five straight.
Windham RVT's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Marsh, who scored 19 points along with four steals and two blocks. Marsh has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dezmen Gaston, who scored 20 points along with six assists and five steals.
Goodwin Tech's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Windham RVT, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
